Connect YouTube

Connecting your YouTube channel lets the app read how your videos actually performed and feed that back into what it makes next.

Connecting a channel

The consent screen, what happens during the first sync, and the dashboard that appears afterwards.

Recording in production — the written steps below cover the same ground.

Connecting

01Open the channel, go to Settings → YouTube (or the Connect YouTube screen).
02Press Connect and complete Google’s consent screen.
03Wait for the first sync — it pulls your recent videos and their statistics.

What it can and cannot do

The connection is read-only analytics. It reads your videos and their performance; it does not upload for you. When you publish a video yourself, the next sync matches it to the one produced here and its statistics start appearing in analytics.

Disconnecting stops the sync and removes access. Your videos and assets in this app are unaffected.

After connecting

The channel’s Analytics tab and the Connect YouTube screen show views, click-through rate, retention and per-video breakdowns, over a selectable window such as the last 28 days.
